Children’s Activities – September 21

Taking it Home: 

This week in RE we are continuing our focus on Belonging. We are exploring how our faith gives us the “building instructions” of “Share what you have!” As we explore that, we will have the chance to lift up the Earth-centered holiday of Mabon and our UU value of generosity. We will be creating a “Harvest Hands” poster using our hand prints and words that illustrate how we share within our communities. 

Here are some questions to continue the conversation at home: 

• How does it feel to share something? 
• Have you ever shared a snack or toy to help someone feel included? 
• What are some other ways we can share and help others feel like they belong?

*Note to Parents: This week’s activity will involve paint. Although the paint is washable, please be sure your child is wearing paint-appropriate clothes!
