From September to June, we have a full Religious Exploration Program for children and youth during our service.

Visiting children are invited to join with others of their age group. If you arrive about 10 minutes before the service begins, greeters at the door can show you to the Religious Exploration wing, and our Director of Religious Exploration will introduce you and your children to leaders of the appropriate age groups.

Typically, children attend the first part of the worship service with their families, and then go to their programs after “Time for All Ages” where the minister will invite the children to the front of the sanctuary for a story or reading. Children are welcome to remain in the sanctuary for the entire service if you wish.

You can also accompany your child when leaving the service, to see that s/he is comfortable. Parents pick up their children in their program rooms at 10:15 am. You can contact the Director of Religious Exploration if you have any questions before or after your visit.

Nursery Care

Families with young children can count on the loving care provided to children ages six weeks to three years in our Nursery. You may drop off your children at the nursery beginning at 9:45 AM; please pick them up promptly after Sunday morning Service. Our nursery is located on the same level as our Fellowship Hall and adult childcare providers staff the nursery during Sunday mornings. Nursery care is available free of charge during the service.

Our child-friendly nursery space is well stocked with toys, books, and hugs. Very simple activities are introduced for the older two-year-olds. Parents who wish to keep infants with them are welcome to bring babies to the sanctuary.

Families should provide our Nursery staff with a labeled bag containing any items necessary for the care and comfort of their children, including diapers and wipes. Donations of diapers and wipes for emergencies are always welcome.

We request that children who are ill or feeling unwell not be brought to the nursery to avoid the spread of contagious illnesses. As general guidelines, please do not bring children who in the past 24 hours have experienced:

  • Fever
  • Rash
  • Diarrhea
  • Vomiting
  • Runny nose (unless the mucus has been clear)
