Although the structure, content, and feel of our Sunday worship services change from week to week, most of our Sunday services include:

  • Opening words that call us into our time of worship
  • Lighting our chalice as the symbol of our liberal religious faith and heritage
  • Singing hymns or songs
  • Reading from many different sources of inspiration and wisdom, both modern and ancient, secular as well as religious
  • A story or reading for children of all ages
  • A time for silence, reflection, meditation, and prayer
  • A message or sermon by our minister, a guest minister, a speaker, a lay worship leader, or a member or friend of the congregation
  • An opportunity to practice generosity through an offering for the support of our mission, ministry and values or the works of other organizations for social justice
  • Words of benediction to send us out into the world to put our faith into action.
