Excitement is building for the Sustainability Fair at UU Manchester Saturday, October 5. The 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. event will include speakers Dan Weeks, ReVision Energy’s director of marketing development, and Rep. Peter Somssich, Ph.D. Weeks’ background includes a high school interest in solar cars followed by studies at Yale and Oxford. Somssich serves on the Science, Technology and Energy Committee of the New Hampshire House.
Button Up New Hampshire, 350 NH, the League of Conservation Voters, Queen City Bike Collective, Citizens’ Climate Lobby, the Manchester Parks and Recreation Department, Rights and Democracy, the New Hampshire Safe Water Alliance, Victory Aquaponics, and others will be on hand to educate and inspire. We’re delighted to have a local eight-year-old girl joining us who is a pangolin protector. Pangolins, which resemble armadillos but with larger and harder scales, are the world’s most trafficked mammal.
Plan to attend and increase your knowledge.
“A Good Planet is Hard to Find,” so let’s be good to this one.
Thanks to all who have volunteered to help with the fair. For more information, see Edna White, Carol Backus, John Angelo, Barbara McLaughlin, Malia Till, Elizabeth Duck, or Liz Alcauskas.
