APRIL EDITION OF THE SOCIAL JUSTICE MINUTE

This is your place to find all our recent projects and happenings, receive updates on Share the Plate information, and find out how you can volunteer your time or resources to help us with social justice and climate action in our church, community and the wider world.

We want to remind everyone that the composting bin on the outside of the church, Myrtle St. side, is available for anyone to bring their composting from home. Stop in any time with it. The padlock code is 2667. If you are feeling generous, you can make a donation any time toward the monthly fee that goes to Renewal Composting. A church member pays this monthly and gets reimbursed, but we are falling a little bit behind. You can make a donation by check or cash in the collection plate any time, noting that it is for the composting program, or donate online and note that it is for composting.

Watch for signups for the Pride Festival, June 27th 2026. The festival runs from 11 to 5 PM, and there will be 2 hour shifts to sign up to “man” the table. Rin Cutter will be managing signups soon.

As we come to the end of the fiscal year and get ready for the Annual Meeting, we would love to increase our committee membership. It is not scary! We meet on the second Sunday of every month at 11:30 in the lounge. Rumors may have spread that we have very long meetings, and that is true, but we are doing good and important work. With mid-term elections coming up soon, it is especially important. Please consider sitting in on a meeting and seeing what you think!
