The Unitarian Universalist Church of Manchester welcomes you to our next Sunday Service! June 7th we begin our monthly theme of Flourishing Together with a service lead by Rev. Kali Fyre. Service starts at 10am, followed by coffee and community hour in Fellowship Hall. Coffee With The Minister, our coffee and conversation time with Rev. Kali, will happen around 11:30am.

Flame And Chalice Remodel – Volunteer needed
A few of our online spaces are changing this year, including our website! In preparation for our website redesign, we are changing how our newsletter works. Currently, it uses pages from the website to create articles. This won’t work when we switch to the new uumanchester.org. We are moving to a separate service, so that we can run it independent of the website. With this change, we are able to give it a fresh new look with a few tweaks in how articles are submitted! Going forward, the newsletter articles need to be under 250 words, will have a 3 week maximum display time, and announcements and articles submitted have to be in by Thursday at the latest to work with our admin’s schedule. The Flame and Chalice will be going out on Fridays, as our admin doesn’t work Saturdays after June 6th. While the admin is going to be putting out our newsletter for the time being, this is a volunteer position. This Week In RE
In the spirit of this month’s theme, “Flourishing Together”, we’ll be exploring flowers and just like flowers in a garden, how our differences make the world more beautiful. We’ll be going outside weather permitting. Looking ahead to Flower Communion Sunday, we’ll be celebrating with our own flower communion downstairs. We welcome you to bring flowers from home or share the flowers in the classroom.
Pride Service Coming Soon
On Sunday June 28th the Worship and Music Committee will have a Pride Sunday worship service. This service will be needing three individuals (LGBTQIA2s+ people, allies, family, and/or friends) to prepare and share stories regarding Pride during the Reflection Time. Please let either Louis or Rin know if you would like to participate.
Yard Sale
Our annual Yard Sale has been scheduled! Join us September 12th from 8am to 2pm for a fun day of selling old items, finding new treasures, and raising money for our church. Volunteer opportunities and setup times will be announced soon, so stay tuned if you’d like to volunteer to assist with set up or run tables!
Get Your T-shirts Now
T-shirt sales will be suspended for the summer. The last Sunday to get your T-shirt is Sunday, June 7th. They will return in the fall. Please bring cash or check. Adult T’s are $15, youth T’s are $10
Pride Volunteers Needed!
Pride Festival is coming up and UUCM needs volunteers! The Parade/Festival is June 27 from 11am to 5pm. We will need people to march in the parade, help with festival table setup and tear down, and manning the table in two hour increments. Further information will be provided as information is provided by Manchester True Collaborative.
If you are not able to participate in this year’s UU Manchester Pride 26, but wish to offer support to our effort, the Board has approved our reaching out to our members for support. We will have an Amazon Wishlist of things we would appreciate to have to make this year’s Pride event a success!
Disability Pride Tabling Opportunity!
On July 26th, there will be a Disability Pride Event in Dover, NH. Details are still being worked out by the head organizer, but this week they reached out to our Administrator to see if we would like to host a table for the event! If anyone is interested in running a UU Manchester table in Dover, please email Tess at admin@uumanchester.org. If you are willing to give rides to the Disability Pride event after Sunday services, please also contact Tess to arrange car pooling opportunities.
Share The Plate Update
Each week, we pass around our offering plates as part of our services. A portion of the offering we share with local community groups, organizations, and other various businesses that we vote on each year. This quarter so far we have shared:
