Announcements

Transgender Day of Remembrance

November 20th marks the annual Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR), an international memorial day to honor transgender individuals who have lost their lives due to the transphobia and violence.

On November 23rd, our church will host a TDOR service at 7:00 PM. There will be food provided by Carol Veenstra before and after the memorial in the lounge. The service will have a few trans congregation members speaking, followed by a reading of the names of the trans individuals we lost this year.

Interfaith Thanksgiving Service

Monday, November 24th UU Manchester will again be hosting the Greater Manchester Interfaith Thanksgiving Service. It’s been several years since we have hosted, so we are very excited!!

We will need volunteers to provide refreshments for hospitality following the service, and people to attend the service to welcome our guests! 🙂  (I will try to confirm the exact time before the end of the week…but 5:30 is a good start time for set up and choir rehearsal)
For more information, you can contact Rev. Kali at minister@uumanchester.org

Thank you!

Holiday Faire Jewelry Donations

We will be accepting gently worn jewelry donations to sell at the jewelry table at the Holiday Faire. If you have items you would like to donate, please put them in a bag with your name and label the bag “Holiday Faire.” We will start accepting donations at the coffee hour holiday fair table starting the week of November 16th!

Holiday Faire Cookie Bakers

We need bakers to make cookies for our famous Cookie Walk Buffet, a fun part of our Holiday Faire. Now is a great time to make dough and freeze it for baking later as we get closer to the faire. Please see Cookie Coordinators Pam Del Pozo-Waldron and Rin Cutter to sign up.

Holiday Faire Flyers

Oh boy oh boy oh boy! We have official holiday flyers available for you to take and display at your workplace break room, Library, grocery store, bookstore,… wherever they have a community bulletin board where we might advertise our faire.

They will be available downstairs on the fair table at Coffee hour for the next few weeks.
