Happy New Years to all!  I’d like to thank the volunteers who hosted Hospitality this year!  The kitchen order and sanitation have largely been followed according to our new “Carry In Carry Out Policy. The kitchen condition and organization is much improved than a year ago. 

I’ve noted that the food assortment at Coffee Hour has gotten quite extravagant at times, and I think it’s time we pull back, acknowledging that its intent is a snack, not a meal.  Choir Sundays are well attended, holiday weekends are not. Each volunteer should use their judgement. 

Those who are not serving hospitality sometimes bring in unanticipated food. “It was a great deal!” is said. It is a very kind gesture, but to avoid a stockpile of food and leftovers, please contact me in advance.  I will be able to notify volunteers on duty to plan accordingly.  Perhaps we should consider donating extra nonperishable items to the pantry box.  Also, unfortunately, we cannot serve any previously served food leftover from home.   Thank you for understanding

I hope to hold an evening Hospitality training for newbies.  Date/time TBA.  I can also do on the job training if needed.
